After Pastries with Parents, our Pre-K students that stayed at school enjoyed pizza for lunch with Mrs. H and then visited the church to bring flowers to Mary since they didn't make it to May Crowning this morning. They napped good after all the excitement!
Today after Mass we had our school-wide May Crowning. This beautiful and reverent tradition is in honor of the Blessed Virgin Mary and is a cherished tradition that takes place in May. It symbolizes our love, devotion, and recognition of Mary as the Queen of Heaven and our spiritual mother. The crowning of her statue with flowers reflects her virtues of purity, grace, and holiness. Our 8th graders led the procession, and all students Kindergarten through 7th grade followed to bring flowers.
REMINDER – BLOOM Spring Flower Pick-Up is this Saturday, May 10th, 11:30 pm-1:30 pm in the Piqua Catholic School Southwest Parking Lot directly behind the school, on the corner of Franklin and Greene Streets.
