2025-2026 Holy Angels School Free & Reduced Lunch Public Release

With school starting next week, we wanted to provide all parents and guardians with a few reminders about attendance policies and procedures so we can start the year successfully. The school day begins at 8:15am and ends at 3:15pm. Students may not arrive earlier than 7:50am unless they are here for Before Care. Students who are dropped off at the school prior to 7:50am will be placed in Before Care and charged the drop-in rate for Before Care. Students may not stay at school past 3:15pm unless they are here with the knowledge and permission of faculty or staff for things like tutoring, student council, volunteering, etc. Students who are not picked up on time will be brought back into the school and placed into After Care and will be charged the drop-in rate for After Care.
Students who need to leave school early must be picked up and signed out in the office by their parent/guardian or by another person designated by the parent or guardian. Students who arrive at 8:15am or later need to be brought into the office and signed in by the parent/guardian and will be given a tardy slip to give to their teacher.
ANY STUDENT WHO WILL BE TARDY OR COMING IN LATE FOR ANY REASON, OR A STUDENT WHO WILL BE ABSENT FOR THE DAY MUST BE REPORTED VIA THE ATTENDANCE LINE BY 8:15AM. The attendance line is a direct-to-voicemail line that can be accessed by families 24/7 by calling the school at 937-492-9293 and dialing the extension for the attendance line. Any student absent after 8:15am with no call to the attendance line will be marked as an unexcused absence, and the parent/guardian will receive a phone call from school regarding the child's absence. Please help make the office staff's morning go as smoothly as possible by calling and leaving a voicemail on the attendance line notifying of your child's absence or late arrival before 8:15am every morning to limit the number of calls that have to be made home. Keeping your child safe is our number one priority, and without a notification from you of their intended absence or late arrival, we have no way of knowing if they are safe or if something may have happened to them on the way to school.
If you have any questions or concerns about the attendance policy, please see the section in the student handbook, which is available on our website. Hard copies will be in the back of each student's agenda that they receive at Open House. We are looking forward to seeing you next week!

Are you thinking about volunteering at Holy Angels School this year? Holy Angels School and the Archdiocese of Cincinnati are committed to keeping your children safe and healthy in our school. All adults who wish to volunteer at any school event with minors present, such as on a field trip, as a classroom aide, volunteer, or party planner, for field day, etc., MUST be in compliance with the Archdiocese of Cincinnati's Safe Environment Policy. This includes several steps such as online training, and online background check, and more. All of this can be completed easily online at https://www.aocsafeenvironment.org/. All parents who think they will want to volunteer at some point this year are encouraged to complete these steps now before school starts so that all you have to do during the year is keep up with the training bulletins, which you have 30 days to complete each quarter. If you already have an account, please login and ensure that your account is compliant and that Holy Angels School is listed as one of your locations.

Meet our new 2025-2026 Faculty and Staff!
Today we want to introduce our new Kindergarten teacher, Mrs. Courtney Witt. Mrs. Witt has served for several years at Holy Angels School as a classroom aide and we are so pleased that she is taking on this new role. Please give her a warm welcome and come visit her at Open House next week!
Hello! My name is Courtney Witt, and I am excited to teach Kindergarten at Holy Angels. I feel so blessed to be part of the Holy Angels community. I am happily married to my husband, Kent, and together we have four wonderful children, a lovely daughter-in-law, and a son-in-law. Our two youngest daughters currently attend Holy Angels, and we love being part of this faith-filled school family.

Lehman's Alumni Group is selling flags for the fall sports season! Their goal this year for flags is to give out 10 scholarships of $750 to deserving incoming freshmen. With replacement costs of the flags going up and cost of the scholarships, they need to reach 90 flags sold. Your donation is $100 per flag and you will receive a Lehman flag proudly waiving in your front yard for the Fall Sports season. They will not take down the flag until the last team or individual has finished their fall playoff season. For Sidney, Piqua, and Troy residents only.

Families, our first day of school is in two weeks! Please plan on attending our Open House on Monday, August 18th from 5:30pm to 7:30pm. This will be the school year kickoff and is the best time for families to drop off school supplies, pick up start-of-year forms and paperwork, get student agendas and handbooks, drop off medication, and meet your teachers. Although attendance at Open House is not required, it is HIGHLY recommended. We can't wait to see all of our Wings for the start of another great year at Holy Angels School!

Today is the start of Ohio's annual Sales Tax Holiday, which runs from August 1st to an amazing August 14th this year. Now is the time to get your school supplies! Supplies should be brought with families to Open House to allow less stress on the first day of school. Holy Angels School's school supply list is also available at Walmart.

The 2025-2026 school year is just a few weeks away! Make sure to check out our academic calendar so you don't miss anything. Families will be provided with a hard copy in their paperwork folder at the start of the year and should put it somewhere safe and visible for the entire year, such as on a fridge, home bulletin board, or in an office.

Congratulations to our July 2025 1000 Club winners, Pat Luthman & Diana Kleinfelder! Thanks so much to everyone who has supported Holy Angels Catholic School in 2025 so far by purchasing tickets! There are still 5 drawings/10 chances left to win $500 this year! If you would like additional tickets, they can be purchased in the school office during regular hours for $20 a piece.

We are looking to add to our substitute teachers at Holy Angels School for the 2025-2026 school year! This is the perfect position for those who are retired, older children home for break from college, stay-at-home parents, or who are just looking for occasional part-time work. The pay is $100 per day. Interested in being put on our list of substitute teachers? Call Principal Denise Stauffer at (937) 492-9293.
